The Nile Valley is a canyon 660 miles long which the Nile flows through and the delta is at the rivers mouth in northern Egypt where the river flows into the Mediterranean Sea.
Maine's shoreline snakes in and out so much that it is estimated to be at least 3500 miles long.
It covers 240 kilometres (150 mi) of Mediterranean coastline. From north to south the delta is approximately 160 kilometres (99 mi) in length.
The Coastline of Los Angeles County is 75 miles long http://lacounty.info/overview.htm
It adds 504 miles of shore line since it is 252 miles long
The Nile River Delta is one of the world's largest river deltas, at about 99 miles long and covering 150 miles of Mediterranean coastline. It is formed in Lower (Northern) Egypt where the river spreads out and drains into the Mediterranean Sea. The area has been intensively farmed for at least the last 5000 years. There are two many branches: the Damietta and the Rosetta; the Rosetta Stone was found in the Delta in 1799 near Rosetta. About half of Egypt's population live in the Delta, around 40 million people.
Approximately 500 miles long (about 800 km). Pirates have ventured out some 400 or so miles from the shoreline.

Big Bear's lake is over seven miles long with 23 miles of shoreline!
1,293,000 square miles Impossible... that would make the Nile Delta the size of India. Ouch. According to Wikipedia, "From north south the delta is approximately 160 km in length. From west to east it covers some 240 km of coastline." Perhaps some mathematical whiz can figure out the square milage of the Nile Delta from those numbers. I can't; I have to go assign a whole shipload of homework to Devin & class.
