The contributor who provided the answer to this question also appended the
following link. I'd just like to point out that the answer to the question is drawn
from Jewish history and tradition, whereas the link leads to a treatment of the
subject from a Christian perspective. I mention this because they're quite different.

Yes, he payed tithes to Melchizedek. Heb 7:6
Type your answer here... melchisadeck.
Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek. Melchizedek was a priest/king of Salem (early Jerusalem). He is mentioned again in Psalms 110:4 and Hebrews Chapters 5, 6 and 7
Tithes have been paid to many different people over the years. Abram paid tithes to Melchizidek, the king of Salem. The Israelite children paid tithes to God.
Yes, he payed tithes to Melchizedek. Heb 7:6
Of course, all subjects of the Church - meaning all men, including the King - paid tithes.
In the New Testament we are told of Abraham paying tithes to Melchisedec and we are also told that his descendants indirectly paid the tithes. The apostles did not urge people to do so. Tithes were paid so that the Levites could be sustained as they were no entitled to any piece of land but daily ministration in the temple. But the New testament has no Levite per say and the bible makes reference to an end of Aaron's priesthood giving way to the priesthood of Jesus Christ and many laws (including of tithes) were done away with Read Hebrews chapter 7 verse 12 (as well as chapters 6 up to 10)
All of the twelve apostles were ordained by Christ to what is called The Higher Priesthood, sometimes known the Melchizedek Priesthood after the righteous King Melchizedek. He was the same king who Abraham paid tithes to.
Abraham to the High Priest Melchizedek the King of Salem.
somewhere 2. I cannot find any meaning to the word drunvalo only about Melchizedek. He was a great king and Abraham paid tithes to him. He was so honored that the higher priesthood of God was named after him i.e Melchizedek Priesthood.
One Biblical example of what this means is found in Hebrews 7:9-10, which says, "And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him." What the writer is saying is that when Abraham met Melchisedec, he paid him a tithe (tenth) of all he had received. Levi, Abraham's descendant who had not been born yet, was also credited for paying tithes to Melchisedec, because he was "in" Abraham. In the same way, Christ was sinless and died on the cross on our behalf so that through faith in Him, His righteous acts and sinlessness will also be credited to our account, as if we had always been righteous. This is what Paul calls being "in" Christ, the same way that Levi was "in" Abraham. This is what it means to be justified: Just as if I'd never sinned. Christ gives us His own righteousness. "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:21
