There is a mounting problem with the factory ac condenser that causes it to crack on the left side near the middle. In order to repair the problem a new condenser and special dealer supplied "j" nut is required. An aftermarket condenser may be used. The job takes about three hours and should be performed by a qualified A/C technician.
How do you replace ac condenser on a 2001 chevy venture?
The 2002 Chevy Venture has a dual a/c system. The 2000 might also. There could be a hole in the hose that goes to the left and back of the van, but not in the one that is for the driver's side of the van.

Hi, I have information that the pressure sensor (not switch) for the AC system is located near the front of the van, on the driver side, just behind the condenser and radiator assembly. I tried to get inside the engine compartment of my van (also a 2001) and take a picture, but as you may know it is VERY tight in there. So I have provided a link to a drawing the shows where it should be. Hopefully that will give you a better idea of where to look.
2 pounds to 4 pounds, depending if it is completely empty or not and if the van has rear air conditioning or not
my 2000 Chevy venture van the air comes hot by drivers vet and cool by passenger vents
i own a 2001 Chevy venture warner bro. edition. and the rear air blows hot while the air is on up front.. i had it checked out and the rear has no ac its just a fan for the back..go figure. my customized Chevy express full size van does the same thing
It does not have an orifice tube.
in the low side hose by the condenser
Low side service port is just behind the condenser and radiator fans and just in front of the front exhaust manifold. It is a booger to get things hooked on when the engine is hot! Be careful.
There is not a cabin AC filter on a 2000 Chevy Cargo Van 2500. None of the full size Chevy vans have a cabin filter.
