The temple road branches out near Tagore Engineering College. The vandalur Kelambakkam Road takes off from GST Road very near the Vandalur Zoo.

we have also heard of this temple ' arai kasu amman' near pudukkottai. this goddess is famous for :in case you have lost or do not remember where u have kept things , documents or any articles are lost, you say that u will prepare 'panakam' water mixed with jaggery, cardomom powder and think of this goddess and pray, within no time your items / things will be retrieved i have also found Arakkasu Amman is the other name of Brigadambal. This Goddess is having Her temple in 'Sri Brigadambal Sametha Thiru Ko Karneshwarar temple'. The temple is located in the town of Pudukkottai in a place called 'Thirukko karneshwaram'. Once you reach Pudukkottai, you can ask anybody the route to reach the temple.This goddess is very very famous in relocating the lost or missed items or to remember where u have kept the things this has happened in my life many times and hence this answer This name comes because during the period of British Rule the Pudukkottai Thondaman Kingsare also having their own copper coins for use. They have made these coins in their own mint.In that coin on one side the king's face is marked. On the other side goddess Brahadambalimage will be marked. The value of the coin is half anna. (arai kasu). 16 anna=1 rupee).Hence the name arai kasu amman.You can see these coins in Pudukkottai Museum.
