Look at the back axle. you will see a small round foam protector. slide this to one side and you will see a threaded rod with a section you can grip with pliers or a small wrench on the other end of the rod is a special friction nut you can turn clockwise to take any play out of the pedal. Don't overdo this. leave some slack. After you are confident you have adjusted the nut correctly slide the foam cover back over the assembly and you are done
