According the the Bible, Jesus is that Deliverer who came to save mankind from their sin. As children of Adam we are all by our very nature sinners, breakers of God eternal law. We are born that way, no one needs to teach us how to break God law. Jesus came to free us from that sin nature, by His perfect sinless life and death. People still read about Jesus Christ, because as His disciple Peter confessed that He, Jesus, alone has the words of eternal life. Jesus said about His life that He had come that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
