This depends on a variety of factors including the type of food, your level of activity and what else you intake over the period of digestion.

Food can stay in the stomach anywhere from a few minutes to several hours.

Small amounts of easy to digest material will pass through the stomach in just a few minutes

The more food added and the thickness and density of the food, the longer it will take.

Also, including fluids such as water will cause digestion to take even longer as you will be watering down the stomach acids.

Large amounts of hard to digest food which have been consumed along with liquids may stay in the stomach for 6 to 8 hours.

The average is 2 to 4 hours for a small meal with moderate fluid intake.

Food spends about 3 or 4 hours in the stomach it then takes it about 3 more hours , sometimes more to move through the small intestine, After that it moves into the large intestine where it can stay for up to 36 hours dependant the food you ate. so unless you swallow a laxative of some sort, it can take about 40 hours or more.

What Organ churns and mixes food?

The stomach acts as a reservoir for food, churns the food, mixes it with gastric juices, and gradually releases the food into the small intestine. Some water, alcohol, and glucose are absorbed directly through the stomach into the bloodstream. Enzymes secreted by the stomach help break down proteins and fats into simpler substances. Hydrochloric acid secreted by the stomach kills bacteria and prepares some minerals for absorption in the small intestine. Some food may leave the stomach one minute after it enters, while other parts of a meal may remain in the stomach for as long as five hours.
