no
No, the last year that GM used points in their distributor was in 1972.
1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2
1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 clockwise on the distributor cap.
0.035 if it still has a points in the distributorIf it now has a HEI distributor they need to be 0.045if it has the HEI distributor then it should be 0.060
Assuming the original stock distributor with points and condensor is what you have, the single black wire that comes out of the bottom of the distributor would go to the small negative post on the ignition coil.
No.
I believe 1967 for Chevy cars and 1972 for Chevy trucks.
No.
No a 1972 Chevy pickup is not the same model as a 1973 Chevy pickup. I believe it goes from 1967-1972, 1973-1980, 1981-1987. Doors will work from 1973-1976, 1977-1987. You would need to find 1972 doors as they are the only ones taht will fit a 1972. 1967-1971 are the same but there is something different about 1972 doors.
They are numbered 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 , with #1 being the one where the spark plug goes to the FRONT plug on the Drivers side of Engine
Check to see if your distributor wire has come loose.
