I assume this is a Crown. If so, is it electronic? If so, the problem could be in the electronic control, or it could be a stuck or broken switch in behind the dash, which means that you would have to take the dash off, that's about a 6 hour job. If it is not electronic, then most likely linkage or cable is broken. You should check with your local Ford dealer in the parts dept. they would know from you model whats wrong, and yes the parts guy ( if he is nice ) will tell you what you need and how to fix it. They have the experience.
somtimes a mouse moves into the blower motor and makes a nest ?
If air blows from defroster only, the vacuum line to the blend door may be broken. You can access most of it under the hood.
If it blows only out the defroster vents : then check for Vaccume leak Rick ASE L-1 Master TransMichigan.com
thermostat may be stuck open so engine doesn't get hot enough to blow warm air. Had the same problem on a Taurus once
If you are talking about the thermostat in your engine, the two have nothing to do with eachother. If there is no air at all coming out the vents, I suggest it is your blower motor.
Cannot tell from the question if the problem is:Air is not blowing at allAir will not come out the dashboard vents, versus defrost or floor directional settingsSee "Related Questions" below for coverage of both
More than likely you will not have heat being the water wont be circulating through the heater core , When the hot water passes through the heater coil the air passing through the heater coil makes heat blow out the vents when you have selected a heat setting on your controls.
vacuum leak the vacuum reservoir is below the left head light, check the hoses
Drive it. It will relearn itself. It may take a few drive cycles.
First, check for the recall on the blower resistor at recalls.gov or something like that. Second, check the fuse box located below the steering wheel.
it will give you a head ache and get you high if you inhale right by the leak, but it wont seep through your vents and make you sleepy
my 94 explorer wont blow heat
