alarm system goes off at ramdom when parked and locked with remote
When I activate my car alarm, then return to deactivate it the alarm deactivates the door unlocks but when I open the door the alarm goes off and does not go off when I use the remote. Ater about 3 to 4 minutes of trying it finally goes off and I can then start my car. Is the batter need replacing in the remote or a fuse needs change? Does the alarm need servicing?
when you hook up the battery and the alarm goes off hit the unlock button on your door lock remote.
You break into your own car and see if an alarm goes off. Remain in vehicle and try locking all doors with remote or electric door lock switch Then try unlocking door with manual release and open door - alarm should sound off
There is a switch on the left hand side of the steering wheel. The remote is not a standard alarm remote. It is on your key. I found that it is really easy to accidently hit this switch when cleaning then your remote will not work.
Are you using the key or the remote? If the key, you may be not turning off the alarm so it goes off.the door is already unlocked i just open the door and the horn starts blowing removed horn fuse
alarm goes off
The switch inside the door, on the back of the key cylinder is malfunctioning.
If your 97 Nissan Maxima's alarm is like mine, put your key in the driver's side door and "unlock" the car. The alarm will only go off if the other three doors have been locked (driver's side door remains unlocked) and you have closed the door and left the car alone for 30 seconds or more. Then when the driver's side door is opened again the alarm goes off.
There is a module behind the carpet..drivers side next to where your right foot goes. Top plug is alarm, pull this out to disable.....Be aware this is also linked to the remote central locking so doors may have to be locked manually......Hope this helps There is a module behind the carpet..drivers side next to where your right foot goes. This is a common failure on 201 and 123 chassis. Check the hood switch is closing. Check the trunk closes fully. The drivers door lock is often faulty. If it still goes off, disconnect the alarm module...located under the passengers foot well relay cover. New modules are over $500.00.If you have an alarm that is set buy turning the key to lock the door you need to open the same door you locked to take the alarm off. If you unlock the passanger door, trunk or rear doors after locking the driver side door the alarm will go crazy. To get it to turn off, lock and unlock the door you first locked before the alarm went off.
i have a 1999 avenger and my alarm would go off for no reason at all so what i did was take out the fuses for the alarm and the horn and it seem to work. (fyi after doing so your alarm will not work) if your alarm goes off and you do not have a remote- put your key in the passenger side door and turn it to the left... it will turn off the alarm... OR I think i tried the passenger door and it would not work for me. I know that you can unlock the trunk and it will disarm.
