First, check all your fuses and relays. Find the fuse for brake lights and check/replace it. Then, M-B cars are prone to oxidation on their lamp holders--the small plastic part that holds the actual light bulb. First, try some very fine grit sandpaper (400 or so) and clean all these terminals, and then put in a new bulb. A new bulb costs very little and you might as well replace the old one anyway. Put the new bulb and bulb holder in, and see if this works. If not, try cleaning the terminal on the lamp housing it remove any oxidation there as well. It would be odd to have all 3 lights fail. Much more likely to be a fuse or bulb and holder issue.
