If you wanted to propose that one specific system controls most of the activites, on the order of 80%, I would have to say that it would have to be the autonomic nervous system, as it works very closely with the endocrine system, and so these two, together, control virtually everything our bodies do, except for the 20% that is conscious thought and action.
