It would make you more comfortable if your feet feel cold, otherwise, it would make no difference in the speed of your recovery with or without wearing socks.

Studies have been done with people sitting with their feet in ice water and they did not have an increase in the incidence of catching the flu, nor any measured delayed recovery from the flu if already infected.
