You should keep them at a level where it's bright enough that you don't have to strain your eyes to read your gages, and dim enough to where your eyesight isn't impeded by glare from your instrument panel.

I have a 99 Jeep wrangler it has panel lights for the heater and air conditioner controls. So pull out your glove box. Fuse # 3 cavity it should be a red 10 amp fuse. Check to see if that is blown. One other thing. Your head light which is the dimmer switch for your panel lights. Turn your headlight switch counterclockwise all the way before it clicks your panel lights should get bright. Where do you find the fuse for panel lights on a 1990 Plymouth Acclaim?

Panel lights on all vehicles are tied into the tail light wiring of the vehicle. That way if your panel lights go out you know that both tail lights are out. Check the bulbs of your cars tail lights and see if they are burned out.

How do you replace the instrument panel bulbs on a 1998 pathfinder?

You probably don't need to replace the bulbs. On your headlight switch panel either the headlight switch itself turns or there is some kind of slider there that shuts the dash lights off and controls how bright or dim they are. All cars sold in America have this feature. Also ther is a fuse on all Japanese vehicles in the fuse box listed as "panel lights".

How do you replace the instrument panel lights on a 1999 Toyota corolla?

I doubt that all the lights went out at once so lets start with the light switch. Either the switch or something on the light switch panel turns or slides to control the brightness of you instrument lights. It can also shut them completely off. So try that first. Next xheck the fuse panel for the fuse marked inst panel. It is most certainly one of those two things. If not you can always have the light switch or the instrument panel tested. Good luck.

Which fuse controls the instrument panel lights on a 2002 Nissan X-Terra?

The instrument panel lights are controlled by the same fuse as the tail lights which is a 15 amp fuse located in the panel in the engine compartment adjacent to the battery. The fuse is only labeled for the tail lights.

Why won't instrument panel lights and tail lights turn on in 2001 aurora. The fuses appear to be good?

Possible bad headlight switch. The switch is actually 2 switches in one. One side turns on the headlights and the other contacts turn on the tail lights which also feed the instrument panel through usually a 5 amp fuse.
