Town tunes are basically just the sound that plays when the hour bell rings, when you enter a building and when you talk to someone. Of course when you talk to someone the tune will play in their own style but the same notes.

The town tunes are the songs that are played every hour. You can change the town tunes by talking tho Pelly at the Civic Center (left side of the Town Hall) and clicking on the town tunes option.
