Animals have the right to be treated as beings of value in themselves, not as the means to human ends; this principle must be applied in order to guarantee the end of cruelty to animals. The application of this principle means that animals should never be experimented upon whatever the potential gain for humanity. To infect monkeys with the AIDS virus or to expose rodents to toxic chemicals and radiation is simply not acceptable, whatever the supposed benefits. Animal testing is cruel and almost useless. It really irks me when people say we need animal testing. There's a more humane way of testing then what they do now. Here's a few facts!
Animals used in testing are most usually purchased from specialized breeding facilities. However, they may also be taken from the wild or acquired from animal shelters (through a practice known as "pound seizure").
Because mice and rats are excluded from the Animal Welfare Act (AWA), the actual number of animals used in product testing is unreported and unknown. It has been estimated that as many as 100 million mice are used in U.S. laboratories every year
There can be an end to it but it requires us to stand up and stop listening to those who are standing up FOR medical testing on animals. Only WE can bring about this change guys, only WE can MAKE A DIFFERENCE but we have to join together.
No but it should be because testing on any animal is physical abuse. The animal has no choice in it and that should be illegal. I have seen awful pictures of Chimps with lipstick, Elephants with eyeliner. It should be illegal, because it is truly abuse.
no it is not as bad then animal testing
SUPER EXPTREMLY EXPENSIVE animal testing is the cheapest and most efficiant way
Yes, animal testing is around the whole world !
No. There is no legal requirement for animal testing.

if you believe in animal testing...you have no morals,,,i no this because i just wrote a 5 page paper on animal testing and its horrid
Animal testing sould be illegal because it is harming the animal.
It is a slightly grey area, but generally no.
the cons of animal testing r- costs bunches of $$$
The current laws regarding animal testing are that the animal testing must be carefully reviewed and overseen. There are several laws regulating the use of animals for testing.
Everything. Without animal testing certain products, materials, and medications would have to be tested on humans. Many people don't realize that animal testing has the biggest part in the medical field. Without animal testing you would not have basic antibiotics that you get from your doctor.
