Hannah Pick-Goslar, one of Anne Frank's closest friends, will speak at an Anti-Defamation League event 6:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at the Camelback Inn, 5402 E. Lincoln Drive, Scottsdale.
Pick-Goslar lived next door to the Frank family in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and was Frank's best friend from ages 4-13. She was one of the last people to see Frank alive. Frank died at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
Pick-Goslar appears in "The Diary of Anne Frank" under the pseudonyms "Hannell" and "Lies." Her own story is the subject of Alison Leslie Gold's 1997 book, "Memories of Anne Frank: Reflections of a Childhood Friend."

Some of Anne Frank's friends from the time she spent in hiding during World War II were Peter van Pels, Margot Frank, and Auguste van Pels. They lived together in the Secret Annex located in Amsterdam until they were discovered and arrested by the Nazis.
