Remington Firearms are dated from a letter code stamped on the LEFT side of the barrel, just forward of the receiver. The code will consist of 2 or 3 letters. Find the letters, go to the Remington Collectors website, and you can determine the month and year that the barrel was made. Barrels are rarely changed on rifles, and that is likely to be the date your rifle was made. Yo lo siento, pero me habla Espanol muy malo, y despacio.
