Anti theft module on Ford van is installed as a security measure. This will entail a cut-off and an alarm system which safeguards the van from possible theft.
I would also like to know the answer to this question. Anyone?
were is ignition drive module located in the engine
Put the key in the ignition, start the van and press the remote starter button on the remote. Problem solved. This helped us after we had this problem after recharging our dead van battery.
What relay are you trying to replace? (what does it operate?) horn
Deon
drivers side inner fender under hood should have EEC3 on it
Sounds like it has to do with the micro-chip in the key. Starts for about 3 seconds and dies. In 1999 Ford installed a micro-chip in the ignition key for Anti-theft purposes. If the chip isn't there, or is malfunctioning, the vehicle starts briefly and dies.
The 1996 Ford E2 50 power control module can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The power control module will be above the accelerator pedal.
No. The factory alarm is reset with the remote or by turning the key in the door locks.
I have a 97 Ford Club Wagon van. there is anti-freeze leaking from the manifold right above the gasket ( it look like the circle imprint on the manifold. How can this be fix?
check your ignition module, especially if it a straight six.
try turning the key 90 degrees anti-clockwise then hold it in that position whilst you pull the catch on the handle to open it. Mine had this anti-theft modification on the side door as it is and ex-BT van and it took me aged to find out.
