Well, there's 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. Then there's Return of the Living Dead, which is very campy, sort of comedy-Horror, but really great, in my opinion, anyway. Then there's Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things, aka Revenge of the Living Dead. That one's also a classic, and also very campy and silly.

It is, in fact, the first zombie movie, and according to my source (and my recollection - I've actually seen it) it isn't very good. Very low budget, even for then. Just as a note, if you want to see it anyway, look up "horror movie box set" on Barnes and Noble or Amazon. It comes in a box set along with many other horror/zombie films (inlcuding the classic Night of the Living Dead)
