This is a purely local factor, and no generalized answer can be given to it. Contact your local law enforcement agency to see if they offer such opportunities, or know of any agency that does.

A police officer who usually isn't paid or trained and is either unarmed or very lightly armed
DC has an armed Reserve Florida Highway Patrol
A police officer is any person who is authorized by a governmental entity or private entity specifically authorized by law (e.g., Amtrak and other railroads) to employ police officers. Most officers are required to complete training prescribed by a statewide standards organization (such as a Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission), meet certain physical, mental, and emotional standards, and take an oath of office. Police officers may be employed by their agency or volunteer, as in the case of auxiliary or reserve officers. In many states, part-time reserve or auxiliary officers have no police authority when off duty.

Usually, yes. The specific answer will depend on state law and department policy, but auxiliary generally do have police powers.
Unlikely. In most areas a reserve officer is held to the same standards as a full time officer.
Usually to become a reserve officer you fill out an application with that department and sepcify that you are applying for a reserve officer position. You will have to go through the same training and hiring process as a paid officer would go through.
Yes a police officer can join the territorial army as a part time soldierAdded; The above answer also applies to US law enforcement officers.
can auxiliary police officer carry there firearm in the mgm casino in Michigan if there ccw license exempt.
The basic answer is YES. The state of MI does not set up any requirements for volunteer law enforcement(reserve/auxliiary) in the state. Standards are left up to the local jurisdictions. There, however, have been several Attorney General opinions regading where and how an ON-duty reserve/auxiliary officer can carry his or her weapon (including in an open holster), and in order for them to carry in all situtions, a CPL was nesessary. The issue was whether they could open carry on school property and other "firearms" free zones. In MI, getting your CPL puts you under a different set of rules for these zones, which allow the on-duty officer to carry. Additionally, state law was changed to create an exemption for OFF-duty reserve/auxiliary officers to carry most anywhere, even in the areas (bars, churches, schools) that the normal CPL holders could not. For the reasons stated above, ALMOST all cities and counties require their reserve/auxiliary officers to have CPL. Type your answer here...
A "reserve" officer, is usually either a volunteer, or a part-time officer who has been trained in all aspects of police work and choose to assist their local departments to assist them by increasing their manpower during times of need.
