Bad temperature sensor? Plugged or restricted radiator? Water pump not circulating coolant? Thermostat not opening? System airbound?
Either bad ground on your gauge or your electric cooling fans are going bad.
Check your control arms. Bushings could be bad.
It is quite possible that a wet floor on a 1996 Oldsmobile Silhouette is caused by a leak in the body that allowed rain water to get into the passenger area. Window seals and the seals around the front firewall could have been damaged enough for this to happen.
Most likely it is the fuel pressure sending unit. Replace complete unit. Located in the fuel tank.
It is integrated into the alternator, if it is bad you will need to replace the alternator.
Intake manifold gasket leak....big problem with that engine. Sorry for the bad news.
Could be caused by bad lifter, bad pushrod, bad rocker arm, bent valve, or if the sound is heard deep down, it might be worse. Either way, the valve covers need to come off for inspection.
If you're sure you've got the correct scanner and using it correctly then it is highly probably you have a bad ECM.

By your description it could be anything from a dead battery to a bad fuel pump, we need a lot more info on what it's doing.
