Can you ride an Aprilia RS125 at age 16 if you restrict it to 50 then use it fully at 17?

Yes you can but it takes alot of time money and hard work, Take in mind there is no quick fix to downsize an engine. Firstly you will need to buy yourself a rs125 ''top end kit,'' (piston, cylander, pin and circlips) an aprillia top end kit will cost about £400, cheaper paterned parts ie Mettaka are just as good and quite cheap (aprox £150) but will void your warrenty. secondly you will have to get a capable person to fit the kit, (also remember all two stoke engines rely on crankcase presure to power the engine if your running a 34m carb (standard rs125) the bike will scream as soon as you fire up, your crank case will blow or the piston will seize within the first few miles. alas! you need another capable person to rejet your carb! :-) Thirdly you need to book an apointment with the DSA test centre, for around £100 + Labor a mechanic will judge the bore of you bike. All in all this is what it will cost you £150-£400 Topend Kit £200-£300 Fitting and rejeting £100-£200 Bore Assesment Total £450-£900 - Take my advice, Just wait till ya 17 :-) PS: you can use all roads on a CBT apart from motorways

Where does the engine oil go on a 1998 Aprillia Rs125?

The 2 stroke oil, goes into a tank under the seat. the gearbox/lubricating oil goes into a small hole (about 1" in diametre) on the side of the engine. (either left or right i cant remeber) either where the clutch casing is or the opposite side.

Can you drive a restricted 125cc in Scotland when you are 16?

Hey there ... I'm stuck, I was sure that you could drive a 125cc in Scotland of you had taken your CBT and had L plates on the bike, no passengers and not allowed on motorways. Then somebody told me that you could have a 125cc but have it restricted to a 50cc until you turn 17. Then I got told that I could only get a 50cc and now I'm really disappointed as I just got an aprillia RS125 and I don't know if I can drive it on the road or not. I need help? Anyone? (Good detailed answers please) Thanks.
