I have been on both before , and took Wellbutrin to start my day, and Celexa was taken when I went to bed.
The drugs work on different neurotransmitters and work better taken at different times.

NON PROFESSIONAL ANSWER.... I recently switched from Celexa to Wellbutrin. My doctor told me I did not have to "step down" from Celexa in order to take wellbutrin. I just started Wellbutrin the very next day and stopped taking Celexa.
