How do flagged questions and featured questions differ?
Flagged Questions vs Featured QuestionsThe basic difference is that a flagged question has already been answered, although the answer needs improvement of sorts, and therefore gets "flagged." Anyone can ask and answer questions on the site, and there is no one going through the list at all times, so some questions get answered right away and for others it takes longer. Questions that have been answered remain on the site so that people who have identical or similar questions can also get help.

Why don't you give an answer for some questions?
The reason that some questions are not answered vary. Some questions can not be answered because there is no answer. Then, there are the questions that are not questions but statements so they can't be answered. There are questions that are written poorly and make no sense so they can't be answered. Some questions are questions that a person who is trying to be funny asks and they don't deserve an answer. Every so often there is a rude, crude, improper question that won't be answered but taken off. The site gets people who want to sell something they write the question and then put their web/blog site as the answer and these get removed. The people who answer questions on the site are volunteers and we are often "experts" in certain areas (just like in life) and there may not be someone who knows the answer so the questions sits until someone does the research ( yes, we do look things up) or knows the answer. Finally, just because a question is asked doesn't mean it deserves an answer.

Can I delete a question once it's answered?
No, only supervisors can remove questions off of the site by trashing them which hides them from regular users of the site. Supervisors are only allowed to trash inappropriate questions or questions that do not have enough information to be answered so just because you don't want your question on the site anymore does not mean it can be removed. Only questions that contain personal information in them qualify to be permanently deleted off of the site.

You don't know if someone opened a question. If the question is not about a celebrity or other well known person, the question is not allowed. Such questions are removed from the site.
