It's fine, trust me on this. Do you seriously think that a religion would ever put a ban on Love? Dude, we as humans are created for this very purpose, to love others and receive love ourselves. Human nature is something that can never be taken away from you and is definitely more powerful than any form of 'religious' responsibilities you may carry. You by loving another being, are doing nothing wrong. If you continue to doubt, and presuming you are of Hindu descent, I would advise you discussing this matter in more-depth with your parents, as it will allow you to establish a better, overall understanding of who you really are. I hope they will lead you down the right path. All in all, trust me, no religion will forbid you from this; just as long as you remain forever respectful of those around you (and those, who you love)... God himself would not deny this. ∙ 12y agoCulturally, Sikhs are not allowed to have girlfriend or boyfriend. Also, usaully people are in realtionships becuase of their Kaam or lust, which is one of the 5 devils of the human mind. In my opinion, you can have a girlfreind but lust and sexual satsification should NOT be the cause for you to have one. Also keep in mind that, again personally, do not engage in any sexual activites such as kissing or intimately hugging or touching becuase that is a result of lust.

Hindus can eat a variety of food, however, meat is kind of restricted. Vegetables are always better. All kinds of vegetables are fine! :) Meat is not totally banned, they still eat chicken or lamb. Totally avoid beef, and pork! Oh, and obviously things like rice, chappattis etc. Wheat stuff..... (BTW: I know these things, because I am an Indian)
