have heard all of these things about Jeeps as well as "they nickel and dime you to death" and as a Jeep owner since I have been driving I have found it all to be false. If you properly maintain Jeeps, they go forever. My first vehicle was a Cherokee, it had 189,000 original miles on it. It ran PERFECT when I got it, I ran it to 215,000 miles with no tranny problems, no motor problems, nothing. I also worked in a garage called Cherokee Connection where I spent almost all my time FIXING FORDS. The Jeeps that did come in almost all had over 200,000 miles and were just in for routine oil changes and stuff.
