There is nothing inherently wrong with going to a Casino, and this would be left up to each person to decide for him/herself. For example, a family event such as a wedding reception may be held in a banquet room in the casino. The problem is not with any certain building, but with the things that happen in that building.

So, in accord with strong Bible counsel against greed, Jehovah's Witnesses do not gamble. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:9,10; etc) Therefore, one of Jehovah's Witnesses would not go to a casino to partake in gambling. Also, Jehovah's Witnesses take very seriously how their example would affect others. They are careful not to be stumbling blocks to others (Matthew 18:7; Phillipians 1:10), for example, by going to a casino. If this was observed by another, they may reason that Jehovah's Witnesses gamble just like anyone else. Therefore, one of Jehovah's Witnesses might seriously question whether they even want to enter a casino, and they would probably not make going to a casino a regular habit.

Jehovah's Witnesses try to please Jehovah, whose likes and dislikes are recorded in the pages of The Bible. Therefore, even when there is no specific law involved, we adhere to the principles we discern from His Word. Based on that, Jehovah's Witnesses choose not to gamble. It is not a question of whether we are allowed to gamble or not, but our love for Jehovah and our desire to please him.

Isaiah 65:11, 12 informs us: "But you men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny. And I will destine you men to the sword, and you will all of you bow down to being slaughtered; for the reason that I called, but you did not answer; I spoke, but you did not listen; and you kept doing what was bad in my eyes, and the thing in which I took no delight you chose."

WE CAREFULLY consider what gambling can do to our relationship with Jehovah God , Christ Jesus , our fellow witnesses & people in general!

NOTE PLEASE the Biblical principles which should cause alerts against greed & other vices.

Christ Jesus stated:

(Luke 12:15) ". . .Then he said to them: "Keep your eyes open and guard against every sort of greed, because even when a person has an abundance, his life does not result from the things he possesses. . ."

(2 Peter 2:13, 14) ". . .. 14 Their eyes are full of adultery and are unable to desist from sin, and they entice unstable ones. They have a heart trained in greed. . . ."

IN THE fantasy land of greed it is easy to put away our concerns for poor, ill & weak!

To the Israelites Jehovah God warned & applical to mankind!

(Isaiah 65:11) "11 But you are among those forsaking Jehovah, Those forgetting my holy mountain, Those setting a table for the god of Good Luck, And those filling up cups of mixed wine for the god of Destiny . ."
