Labradors originated from England and the United States. Many breeders from both countries were trying to breed "the perfect water dog", so it is impossible to pin it on one specific city as their origination.

Sort of, there are yellow Labradors, but not golden labradors.

Most labradors love food and belly rubs, in that order.

labradors shouldnt be in the zoo because they need love and care
A LOT. Labradors have topped the lists in popularity in the United States as well as England. In the US there are three times as many Labradors as the second most popular breed. A lot of designer dogs (ick) have Labrador in them, Labradoodle, Masstidor to name a couple. Many "accident" puppies have Labrador in them as well. I don't have anything official, but I would say probably at least 70% of animals in shelters have some mixture of a Labrador in them. Many purebred Labradors also end up in shelters.
