They both share a common heritage going back to Mitsubishi Shipbuilding and Engineering Company. Mitsubishi Electric was spun off as a new and separate company in 1921 and focuses on advanced electronic products. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is more in the industrial space, such as forklifts etc.
Evo 6.7.8 and 9 have a 4G63T, and the vo 10 has the new 4B11t, all are prety much the same, but usually the newer model evos and acpeciallt the MR editions have higher boost and different ecu's, hope this helps!!
