Yes i suppose so, as i have a buddy who did the same.
YES.
Left side bottom of dash attached to the side of the fuse box.
check all fuses first, the check transmission safety switch on side of transmission
it's pretty easy to tell because the Mitsubishi tranny is not going to be in MOST ford rangers. Mitsubishi is partnered with Chrysler not ford The Mitsubishi 5-speed overdrive transmission came on the 2.9L 4x4 Ranger from 91-92.
The same place you check the transmission fluid
yes, i own a 93 300gt, which if you know them you will know that the 93 is the ugly duckling year. 1st gen 91-92 have variable timing, 93 alone have the 1st gen body but a shorter throw for the shifter, and cam sensors. but i am currently running a sohc 3000gt transmission on my dohc.
yes if it will fit in the trunk i think that the trunk is bigger in the 92 so it should be ok
Plymouth Laser 92-94 and Mitsubishi Eclipse 93-94 for the 2.0L engine.
Yes, "A" 1994 mitsubishi eclipse transmission will fit a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse, IF and only IF it's the right one 6 bolt fits 6 bolt and a 7 bolt fits a 7 bolt. Make sure you know Fwd and Awd and if it's 5 speed =)
I've a '92 Mitsubishi 2.5 so I'm not sure would that make a difference but did you try slightly above the accelerator in the fuse box, the fifth fuse basically the top right? ( it's right at the corner) This fuse also does the electric wing mirrors. :) (15a)
Oil pressure test.
Down the same tube that holds trans dipstick.
