Yes they are still available for sale but becoming less as the other newer models are replacing them. But you can still see people using Pentium processors on their computer especially older computers.

Pentium 2 computers were only marginally better than Pentium computers and were seen as good systems in their day. Nowadays, they are considered slow and there is not much use for them. None of them had multiple cores nor were they hyperthreading. You won't find a modern operating system that will run on them except maybe some Linux distribution.
The Pentium III was a processor found in many computers, both desktop and laptop, in 1999 and early 2000s.
Pentium processors are manufactured by Intel (http://www.intel.com/).
An Intel Pentium Dual Core processor is a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and is effectively the "brain" of most computers. The Pentium processor was most common in the early 21st Century and has subsequently been replaced with faster models.
Yes. It is a CPU once made by AMD. It is comparable to the Intel Pentium II. It was released in 1997 and was designed to be able to operate in computers designed for Intel Pentium processors.
The Pentium is a PC chip, or what oldschoolers call "IBM-compatible." i.e, non-Mac.Since the Pentium (and the stuff it attaches to) IS the computer, I'm guessing what you're really asking is, what will the Pentium processor run? It'll run Windows (and keep in mind that there have been Pentium processors since 1995, so you'll want to figure out whichPentium you have before you run out and buy Windows 7.They'll also run Linux (including Ubuntu), Unix, and other OS's - - essentially (again), if it's not the Mac OS, it'll probably run on a PC.
No. It is far more efficient. Essentially, it is a cost-reduced version of the Core 2 Duo, but it is still more powerful than any Pentium 4.
