See the link for a list of breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club.
There are over 150 breeds registered with the American Kennel Club, and that doesn't include every breed in the world, which includes mutts and dogs that aren't yet registered!
At the moment I'm afraid not, as Kennel Clubs only register pedigree breeds of Dog. As the Maltipoo is a crossbreed between Maltese and Poodles, they currently are not eligible for Kennel Club registration.
There is likely no difference for most breeds. AKC = American Kennel Club (founded in 1884) currently a nonprofit organization. UKC = United Kennel Club (founded 1898) currently privately owned by Wayne R. Cavanagh.

The American Kennel Club Currently recognizes 176 different breeds of dogs.
AKC stands for the American Kennel Club. They decide which dog breeds are official and which ones are not.
