2 8800gts running in sli will be faster than a single 8800gts
the answer will be YES, unless u are comparing two diffrent cards like 2 8800gts' against 1 ati 4870.
also SLI doesn't necessarily mean better frame rates, unless you are playing at high resolutions, then it will.
As far as a side by side comparison, neither is better. If your looking to buy a graphics card from them, post the ones your interested in so then they can be compared. Both companies offer better graphics cards at different price points. If you mean which makes the best high end product, Nvidia currently has the highest performing single graphics card but ATI isn't far behind And by the way, Nvidia is the company that makes the Geforce series of graphics cards and ATI makes the Radeon series.
To update a graphics card, you don't download some software on your computer to have better graphics. To update a graphics card mean taking out the one you have (if any) and putting in a new one. To see a large variety of graphics cards and info on them, and a place to buy, and says which ones are better than others, go to tigerdirect.com. I hope this info is most helpful.

Well from your question, I'm guessing your a beginner in computers. So I'll tell you what the video cards are used for, what they can do, and where to find the best deals and the best ones. Well First off, video cards (graphics cards) are bought to be put in one's computer and then the computer can run better graphics (how good it looks). The Better the graphics card, the better the graphics. If you want to play games like crisis, half life, or team fortress on high graphics (which are adjustable you should go to tigerdirect.com and get the nvidia 9800, nvidia 260, or 280. So Basically Graphics cards let you play games with picture. Two more things to have these graphics cards and play those games is to have a good enough processor (CPU) and a good Monitor (tv screen). The Processor should be at least lets say, 2.2 or higher, and the monitor for these graphics cards should range from 19 or 20 inch or higher. You can also buy two SLI ready video cards and an SLI ready motherboard which means you can have 2 graphics cards run together then they'll go faster and better than just one but it can be a hassle have 2 graphics cards so just stick with having 1. If you want further information, go to tigerdirect.com, or email a professional at logan@tiger.tv
any pci or pci-e video card. such as ATI Radeon video cards (not agp ones) or NVidia GeForce video cards (again, excluding the agp ones)
You can not convert the RAM that is on the PC to RAM for your graphics card. The only way to get RAM for a graphics card is to buy one that already has RAM on it. The graphics cards that have their own RAM are normally higher end ones that cost about $50-$70 for the cheapest ones.
There are regular graphics cards, then there are mobile ones for laptops and such. Thats a review of the mobile one
AnswerCall of Duty does have better graphics but only the newest ones. Halo's graphics beats World at War, Call of Duty 1-3, and the handheld versions for sure. Halo shouldn't be compared to Call of Duty. Should be compared to like Gears of War.
Linux has broad support for a wide range of devices and platforms, so there is no single computer that is "best" suited overall. Generally speaking, any motherboard will "work;" ones with Intel processors and chipsets will probably offer the best performance and stability. Intel graphics cards should work out of the box on any distribution; NVIDIA makes excellent (though proprietary) drivers for their cards. It is probably best to avoid ATI cards and graphics. Virtually all Ethernet adapters work; wireless cards from Intel and Linksys usually have drivers available.
FIFA 10 on ps3 is better in every aspect. Graphics, controls and ease among many others.
I personally would go with smaller cards, one mishap with the single larger card as in lost or damaged could be a catastrophe, it probably would'nt happen, but its always better to be on the safe side, espicially with once in a lifetime vacation photo's.
There are a few great laptops available to buy that are perfect for gaming and have great graphics cards. The best gaming laptops that are available are the Alienware ones.
