you really cant. safeway will not give info out about there employees.
Yes.
It depends on the union contract, as Safeway is a union company. I work at Vons, a division of Safeway, and our union contract starts us out at $8.10/hour. It was previously posted at $9.50/hour here on answers.com. I'd love to be part of that union local, wherever it is! At Randalls, another Safeway company, they make $7.25/hr (minimum wage).
yes, at least where I work you do.
Safeway doesn't offer health insurance to union employees. However, all safeway employees; store level (non manager), truck driver, warehouse worker, etc are covered under union contracts. These employees pay union dues, and in return they are given health insurance, and other goodies... As for backstage and corporate employees that are non-union... you are eligible for health insurance if you feel like paying between $10-$20 a week (if you're single) or $50+ a week for a family. That's in a nutshell. Non-union employees at Genuardi's Eastern division can pay up to $145 a week for family coverage, with Health Incentives discounts for not smoking, not being overweight and normal blood pressure. If an employee, or his or her family member(s) do not meet requirements, it costs more. Part-timers who work at least twenty hours a week (though few are scheduled that many hours) are eligible, but it also costs more. If an employee's spouse has access to insurance through their employer but chooses not to take it, Safeway adds a $35 per week surcharge for coverage. Rates have gone up every year since Safeway bought the division, while hourly pay and salaries have stagnated. Essentially, incomes have decreased as health care deductions have increased. These claims can be documented.
Is the stock still in the employees accounts? I left my Employment with safeway in 1989. I don't remember ever doing anything with my shares.
Go to the credit union and tell them that you want to withdraw money.
HRdirect.safeway.com is the correct website for safeway employees.
Union of Salaried Employees was created in 2001-05.
There is no governing law that states employees have to join a union. A union is there for better pay and treatment of employees in exchange for a fee or as the union calls it, dues.
it depends on the manager. and the number of employees that are willing to work Christmas day.
Service Employees International Union was created in 1921.
