It depends what you want. The battery life is pretty poor and some claim it breaks down after a year or two. Also it has a lot of pre loaded Sony programs on it that take up space. Still the lap top is a sleek, fast computer with good storage space. If you don't need to use it wireless a lot and want a computer with a lot of storage space it will be good.

Yes it does a very good job and the TV shows that I record on my Media Center Computer play much better on the PS3 than they ever did on the Sony DVD/VCR.
