That depends on what you are talking about.
Tibetans are very protective of their families, so that means they hate strangers. You may have issues with friends coming over, including growling, snapping, barking, etc. Once they get to know your friends, they are usually fine.
They have quite a bit of energy, but not so much that they jump all over you. Nice running dogs, but have some hip problems, so it will get harder when they are older.
Grooming is very difficult with Tibetans because they have hair instead of fur. This means they don't shed, so every hair that does fall out, gets tangled into mats, which are hard to brush out. Bathing is a hassle because if they aren't perfectly brushed out, bathing will make the mats worse. Getting a puppy cut might help, but they still mat nonetheless.
Tibetans are loyal dogs, but don't really show it. They like to lounge around the house near the owners, but don't show excessive affection. Fun to play with though- just don't let them nip at your hands- a nasty habit.
They are good with kids as long as they know their place. They also bark at everything outside.
So if you want an easy going, protective dog with a little bit of energy when you want it, Tibetan terriers are the dogs for you.
