Venom and poison are not exactly the same thing. There are many kinds of poisons, and venom is just one of those kinds. The term venom is usually used to refer to the poison that a poisonous animal, such as a snake or a spider, produces to kill other animals. Poisons include such things as man-made toxins, such as dioxin, or methyl Mercury, and so forth. There are many different kinds. Industrial waste is often poisonous, but it is not venom.
No. BTW, poison is a substance that will harm or kill when injested. Venom will harm or kill if allowed to enter body tissues etc. THe two have very distinct and different meaning HTH
"What is the most poisonous reptile?"The most poisonous reptile is the Belcher's Sea Snake.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Inland Taipan AKA Fierce snake is not poisonous at all. It is the most venomous however. No snake is poisonous. Venom and poison are two different things. Venom can do a multitude of harmful things to the body.
Snake venom is usually injected into the victim - either by needle-sharp fangs delivering a quantity directly under the skin or by the venom trickling down a groove in the snakes fangs.
it depends on the two different things
According to Wikipedia, "poison arrow frog" is the old name for poison dart frogs.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poison_dart_frog

yes they are different things
I am just taking a stab. But, all things considered, i would say yes. I don't know if you could find me a snake that would do that to itself. If you are referring to the venom it can hold and distribute, think about this. King snakes kill each other all the time with venom. One would think that two snakes of the same species would carry identical venom. Making anti-venom possible. If all venom had a change in it, anti-venom couldn't exist.----There are different legends about this question; however, venomous snakes avoid the self-poisoning in many ways, like keeping the poison inside closed structures, neutralizing it with their saliva or, simply, the poison has no effect on them, depeding from the composition of the poison: lipophil enzimes, peptides, "alkaloids", wich have different biochemical properties; however, snakes, often, are self-immune.not normally
The poison dart frog is the most venomous among the three, as it secretes potent toxins through its skin that can be lethal to predators. While scorpions possess venom used to subdue prey and defend themselves, their venom is generally less harmful to humans compared to that of the poison dart frog. The African toad, while it can secrete toxins, is not considered truly venomous in the same sense as the other two. Thus, the poison dart frog is the most venomous of the three.
It depends. Rattlesnakes are one of the most common species of venomous snakes in the Western Hemisphere. There are thirty-two different species and seventy-five subspecies of rattler. All have hemotoxic venom, some have both hemotoxic and neurotoxic venom.
it depends if its the poison and the antidote or not. if it is, then yes, so the antidote cancells the poison out, but if it isn't, then no, two poisons would just make things worse.
