At What Age would a Women become Mother of a Baptist Church and would she be Ordained in that position
There is no specific age for a Church Mother, however she should be a SEASONED SAINTLY Woman. She should be full of the Holy Ghost, faithful in the Ministry, trusted and appointed by the Pastor that she can be trusted in upholding the Vision of the church while performing her duties. Mothers of the church are not necessarily ordained but rather consecrated and or installed.
penial bone
Neither a man nor a woman can be a parent of a Baptist church. Only an existing Baptist church can be the "mother" of a new Baptist church.
Because Jesus did not give the Church authority to ordain women.
To the Contrary - 1992 Women and Politics Gay Marriage Westboro Baptist Church was released on: USA: 29 March 2013
On 12 March 1994, the first 32 women were ordained as Church of England priests. The service was officiated by Bishop Barry Rogerson in Bristol Cathedral. As they were ordained in alphabetical order Angela Berners-Wilson is considered to be the first female priest to be ordained in the Church of England
In the Episcopal Church, both men and women are ordained to the priesthood. They can also be Bishops. Women could become priests in the Episcopal Church beginning in 1976.
Yes, since 1994, women can be ordained as priests in the CofE. The church is slowly moving towards allowing women to be bishops. The church had to be specifically excluded from sex descrimination legislation to allow such practises to continue.
In the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) woman are able to be ordained pastors. However in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) woman are not allowed to be ordained pastors.
No. It is literally impossible for a woman to be ordained, these has been the constant teaching of the Church and has been reiterated by the most recent popes. Thus it is an infallible teaching and no future pope could reverse it.
Well, in scripture there is no such thing as a "baptist church motherboard." Now with regard to some traditions found in African American churches in the USA, there is such a thing as the "church mother board" or "Church mothers" who are simply comprised of older women in the congregation, who have been saved for many years and are able to impart wisdom and prayers to the younger generation. This tradition is based on 1 Timothy 5:1-2 says, "Do not rebuke an older man, but appeal to him as a father. Treat younger men as brothers, ; older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters with complete purity." ; Titus 2:1-5 says,"Similarly, older women should be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers, not addicted to drink, teaching what is good, so that they may train younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, chaste, good homemakers, submitted to their husbands, so that the word of God may not be discredited." This is the foundational basis for having "spiritual mother's in the church." Is it an ordained position? No. However, we are to honor the elders who have persevered in the faith because we can gain so much valuable wisdom from them regarding spiritual matters. "Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises."(Heb. 6:12) Hebrews 11:2 says, "For by faith the elders obtained a good reputation." Church Mother's should be available to impart great prayer and counsel to those in need.
Marriage was defined as a sacrament around the 12th century - the same century when clegy celibacy in the western church became mandatory and women were no longer ordained for service at the altar (yes, the Church did ordain women as bishops, priests and as deacons)
