Safe, surely, however they won't eat them, as they are predatory fish. Likely they would simply ignore algae discs.
They are carnivorous fish. I know of no reason why they shouldn't eat shrimps.
Algae Definitely algae. Use barley products to keep algae at bay, or other fish/environment safe means.
Yes they are good as a treat but Plecos are algae eaters. Specialised food is available for algae eaters at good pet/fish shops
The only algae eaters that are safe with goldfish are bristlenose plecos. Weather (dojo) loaches can also be placed with goldfish, but they are not comparable to a pleco for cleaning algae (though they do clean some).
Either the Chinese Butterfly (hillstream loach) or the Chinese algae eater. Both eat algae, both stay smaller than standard plecos and both are live plant safe.
yes
Panga is a white fish that has been deemed safe for consumption.
Yes they can eat vegitables, Plecostomus are Herbivores. Some people call them carnivores because they suck onto your fish. However this only happens if they are starving, They are not trying to eat your fish they are just trying to suck the algae off of them. This can kill the other fish because it also sucks the slime off of them.
Maybe...I wouldn't Take that chance. If they are good games, keep them safe, and by safe, I mean away from the wallet holder :)
The reason some algae is called edible algae is that it is safe to eat. It is an excellent source of many nutrients. Many people like the taste and are willing to eat it, but some say that edible algae is too bitter.
it might be but i advise you to just get new food just to be safe
An aquarium needs to be cleaned for several reasons. One is to keep the water toxins at safe levels which requires regular water changes. The other is to clean algae from the glass so that you are able to see your fish.
