Trust points are given by the Readers of your answers. Each member can recommend a contributor once. Answers are counted as contributions.
WikiAnswers uses trust points to distinguish trustworthy, good contributors from others. Answers from contributors with lots of trust points are often well-written and helpful.

Currently, the WikiAnswers system of trust points hasn't changed - you can only add trust points, and you can only recommend from a question the user has answered by going to the contributors tab and clicking "recommend".
No. Trust points are an indication of how trustworthy the contributions of the contributors of the website are. Higher the trust points, the more trustworthy the contributor is.
You can earn trust points. These are given to you by other contributors when they believe you have done something well (for example, answering a question thoroughly and coherently).
It will say the question on top, and below that the question's category. Below the category it says who the first and last contributors were. It then says Contributor trust: [number here] and a link to recomend the person. The number is the number of trust points the last contributor has. You can then recommend them if you trust their answer by clicking on the link.
Anyone can edit answers on WikiAnswers. One way to check how legit a question is is by the number of trust points a person has. Below, you will see the contributors name and how many trust points they have.
People often give trust points because he or she has answered their question in a good manner as far as ACTUALLY answering the question that was asked. You can earn trust points several other ways as well such as being very helpful to Supervisors, helping other contributors, being active etc.
Whilst this is against the Community Spirit, soliciting for Trust Points does not warrant a warning or banning.
Many contributors have zero trust points, so it would be very tedious to find and list them all.
