There are some automated answers, but the vast majority are answered by real people like me. Many of us have answered thousands of questions here. You can answer questions too, if you see any you know the answers to. That is how all the people who regularly answerer questions here started.

There is a point to using WikiAnswers because questions do get answered. I know it might not always seem that way, but questions do get answered by other users that care. Do you need proof? You have this question. It just got answered.yeah but when you send questions to yhe community they don't get answered!

Why do people ask simple questions here instead of searching on Google?
This is a fabulous question, and although there is no "correct answer", here's one good reason. I could not find the answer to one of my questions with Google. But I stumbled upon this website and found that I was able to answer a couple of other people's questions (while waiting for mine to be answered). I found it rewarding to help other people with their questions, since I had someone very patient to teach me what I know.
How can you explain why two questions that you just put in here were answered within two minutes but your other questions still aren't answered from two or three weeks?
Some questions are quite easy to answer such as this one, so they are answered quickly. Other more difficult questions are not and are often lost, until found by caring more experienced members
Why does no one answer my questions on here?
It is possible you don't write a question people can answer. If it is too vague it can't be answered or if you don't tell who, what, when, where in your question it can't be answered.
How do you know all of these things?
Knowledge and research. Whatever I can't answer, i research so i can answer it correctly.
