I don't understand that answer . . . In any event, Venus is extremely hot due to the thick cloud cover. Venus's surface temperature is close to 860 degrees, F. Earth's temperature runs from about -75 degrees to + 140 degrees, F. Mar's temperature runs between -200 degrees, F and 80 degrees, F., and Mercury's surface temperature runs from 840 degrees, F and -290 degrees,

F.

The rest of the planets, all gas giants, are very cold on their surface, but may be quite warm nearer their centers due to the immense pressure there.

The planets aren't "Hot" they vary on temperatures. Likewise Mercury would be a hot planet because it is closer to the sun. While Neptune isn't hot because it is further away from the sun. That is also why scientist believe we would not survive on those planets.
