not really sure but i gave my gerbils almonds alot of times before and nothing happened but dont give them too many at a time

ALMONDS! Its definitely a first class choice for you gerbil, when I had mine I always gave him a gerbil food mix and he always went for the almonds first! But they eat bits of walnut, sunflower seeds and raisins! Oh! And if your gerbil has been good, a bit of pasta with butter or buttered toast! They cant resist that!
