Angels and human beings are two different creatures of Almighty Allah. They have been created from different material. They have their own particular duties. The Angels have no choice but to obey Almighty God. Humans have the choice of doing good or evil. Those human beings who LOVE Almighty Allah are held dearer than He holds Angels. I don't think that there is any need of comparing the two.

For worshippers and for summission. In Islamic tradition, Djinns are much more powerful than humans and have free will, so some of them are believers and some aren't. In this they resemble the Western idea of angels, but in Islam angels do NOT have free will and so cannot rebel or resist. Some Muslim scholar or other has called them "Allah's robots." The Islamic Devil is not a fallen angel but a rebellious Djinn.
