Bacteria are not parasitic. Parasites are another form of life that can be found in water supplies and under cooked meat. Bacterium, also found in water supplies are more often associated with person to person transmission.

∙ 12y agoBacteria aren't classified as parasite as any diseases caused by bacteria is not because they suck the life out of their host, as they release toxins that causes a immune response that caused that sore throat and runny nose of yours.
Parasites differ with bacteria as they don't release any toxins, and you get sick with them by as they suck the energy (also known as blood to them) out of you and can spread and reproduce. Some parasites can also trigger an response of the body that causes severe illness.
