That would be the case if the beaver was endangered, but beavers are common animals once again, after being greatly reduced by hunting and habitat loss decades ago. Now listed as Least Concern.

∙ 11y agothe beavers almost became extinct when Europeans found North America and they beaver pelts became highly wanted among people- they were over-hunted to near extinction.
