All bears are predators, including black bears.

Asiatic black bears, and even sloth bears and sun bears. Tigers sometimes will prey on these species. None are a threat to a tiger at all.
Rarely is a cougar a prey item, although they are occasionally taken down by black bears, grizzly bears, wolf packs and jaguars. They are usually an apex predator in much of their range.
In their Arctic environment, polar bears are the highest predator in the food chain.They have no natural predator themselves. However they are also unfortunately "prey" to humans who illegally hunt them for their pelts.
