Olives can be used in salad, they are actually really good in it (preferably black or green). The green olives are the ones with the red pepper in the center of it. Although I've never heard of an olive salad (like a salad made up of olives). I haven't eaten or heard of it, but I'm sure you can make your own, with spices and other ingredients.
