They are only distantly related. Cheetahs are from an entirely different genus (Acinonyx) rather then the Panthera genus of the jaguar. Cheetahs are more closely related to the cougar and the jaguarundi with which they share a common ancestor.

No, man, they eat prey, not kin! Jaguars are found in Central and South America, cheetahs in Africa. Besides a cheetah would have no chance against a jaguar.

Yes, like all big cats, they are in the same group, 'Panthera'. However, their species are too distant in terms of Genetics for them to reproduce fertile offspring
